Creating Magic in Life

I have always enjoyed trainings, provided that they serve their purpose and have element of fun and learning. I attended one training session by Farhad Karamlly sometime in mid of 2008. It was a 4 day funshop (term used by Farhad in lieu of workshop) focusing primarily on team building and to some extend on self development. The session was just before the commercial launch of Mobilink Infinity.

I regard these 4 days spent with Farhad as mind changing. The way he changed our thinking by making us think positive was simply fantastic. I had mentioned his idea of Antenna in one of my earlier blog posts over here. This time around i thought it will be worth to share with you the presentation regarding self improvement.

The self development section focused on difference between the attitude of a whiner and a winner and how just a little change in thinking we can come out as winners in what ever project we undertake.

I would suggest you to go through this presentation and find if you are a whiner or a winner.

I would specially like to thank Farhad for his permission to use this presentation. I have taken this presentation from his linkedin profile.

Post Category: Self Improvement

Somebody emailed this to me today and i thought it is good to share with the world. It goes something like this....

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to hot coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.

While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eyeing each other's cups.

Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it.

Don't let the cups drive you... Enjoy the coffee instead

Stop AIDS. Keep the promise

Post Category - General / Social

1st December is World AIDS Day. With the number of people getting infected with this disease increasing its time that we help and volunteer for this cause. STOP AIDS & MAKE YOUR PROMISE.

I am promising, are YOU?

I remember some time back Salman Ahmad of Junoon fame singing a song titled 'Alvida' dedicated to the cause of AIDS. The song can be viewed here.
